Three Rivers Christian School was formed in 2004 by the merger of Longview Christian School and Child Development Center with Cornerstone Community Christian School. The mission is to glorify God by providing a quality, biblically based, Christ-centered education, dedicated to developing students with a Christian world view who are spiritually, socially, physically, and academically prepared to impact their world for Christ.
Using the Word of God as the center of its curriculum, TRCS is dedicated to partnering with parents to lay a strong foundation in children’s lives – a foundation upon which they can stand firm as they face the onslaught of life in a society increasingly plagued with immorality and materialism. At no time in history has this dedication been so vital. Only the other side of eternity will reveal the countless lives that have been impacted through this ministry.
Begun in 1966 as the area’s first daycare, Longview Christian School has built a tradition of excellence in early childhood education and the elementary grades. Cornerstone Community Christian School was founded in 1966 by a group of LCS parents who wanted to continue quality Christian education throughout the high school years. When recent developments required the eventual relocation of Cornerstone’s 7th through 12th grade program from its leased space at North Gate City Church, much prayer and discussion led to the merger of the two schools with a vision of a single campus. Combined under the Three Rivers Christian School, the ministry has grown to serve infants through 12th grade with over 500 students. Though the names changed with the merger, the commitment to provide educational excellence in a Christ-centered environment remains the same.
