Position Overview
Rediscover the joy of teaching by joining our passionate learning community. Three
Rivers Christian School (TRCS) is seeking an Elementary Classroom Teacher to join
our team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution

• ACSI certification (required) or willingness to obtain

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience (preferred in a Christian school)

Employment Contingent Upon

• Current First Aid/CPR card

• Successful completion of required background screening and fingerprinting

• Alignment with and signature on the TRCS Statement of Faith and Community Standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Establish and enforce classroom expectations and routines

• Plan and deliver lessons, units, and projects aligned to learning objectives

• Communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects

• Differentiate instruction and materials to meet student interests and learning needs

• Encourage students to explore learning opportunities and age-appropriate career awareness

• Create, assign, and grade assessments (tests, quizzes, essays, projects, etc.)

• Provide individual or small-group support when students need additional help

Academic Leadership

• Demonstrate knowledge of the school’s curriculum, standards, and mission

• Support students with diverse learning needs and collaborate on appropriate supports and accommodations

• Understand the physical, social, and social-emotional development of children

​

Administrative Leadership

• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, parents, and staff

• Complete required reports and recordkeeping in a timely manner

• Participate in professional growth through staff development, in-service training, workshops, and continuing education

• Perform other duties as assigned by the school administrator or principal

Spiritual Leadership

• View each student as uniquely created in the image of God, with gifts and abilities to be identified and developed

• Serve as a Christian witness and role model, encouraging students to grow in their faith

• Maintain high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all personal and professional matters
